Need more details.

Are you using the Standard or basic client? Have you tried it with both yet?

Have you tried drag-n-drop the attachment into the mail. Does that work? Have you clicked in the main memo area when clicking?

Are you using an R8 mail file template? The R8 template just uses basic @functions to attach a file. If an error happens it should pop up a messagebox.
